NXT Queer Library
The NXT Queer Library, located at TCR, is a collection of queer, trans, and social justice literature of many genres, including non-fiction, young adult fiction, critical theory, graphic novels, and more. You can view our catalog here. The library is available to Transgender Center of the Rockies and Denver Element clients, free of charge.
The books in our library are donated by community members. If you are interested in donating, please contact us.
Mental health and substance use
Queer and transgender youth are particularly high risk for substance use and mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. An essential component of prevention and recovery is access to validating, enriching social experiences that are not centered around substances. The NXT program connect queer and transgender teens and young adults struggling with mental health and substance use issues to affordable, affirming professionals.
